Tom Holland’s Uncharted Netflix Release Date Set For July

Uncharted, the film adaptation of the PlayStation videogame starring Mark Walhberg and Tom Holland, will finally land on Netflix after its successful box office run. Moreover, the movie will land on the popular streaming platform as part of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s now withstanding its deal with Netflix. So, let’s take a look at the Uncharted Netflix release date. Also, we will be sharing with you details concerning the movie, in case you are not familiar with it.

Uncharted was supposed to come out on December 18, 2020. However, it was delayed multiple times owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. It premiered in the Coliseum in Barcelona on February 7, 2022, and was released theatrically in the United States on February 18 by Sony Pictures Releasing. Critics gave the picture mixed reviews, praising the narrative, casting, and lack of innovation while drawing unflattering analogies to video games. However, Holland’s performance garnered some praise. Uncharted has made $401.6 million worldwide, ranking it fifth among 2022 films.

What Is Uncharted About?
Uncharted is based on Naughty Dog’s wildly renowned video game series and features treasure hunter Nathan “Nate” Drake as he travels across the world solving historical mysteries. Drake, played by Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, teams up with Mark Wahlberg’s Victor “Sully” Sullivan in the film. Sullivan, an older explorer and Drake’s tutor, leads the young man on an adventure in which they face a wealthy, cruel treasure hunter and his mercenaries in their pursuit of a lost fortune.

Uncharted Plot Explained
Orphaned brothers Sam and Nathan Drake are apprehended attempting to steal a map drawn after the Magellan voyage from a Boston museum. After their orphanage pushes him out for his third strike, Sam sneaks out to be on his own but swears Nate he’ll return and gives him a ring belonging to their ancestor Sir Francis Drake.

Nate works as a bartender in New York and steals from wealthy customers fifteen years later. Victor Sullivan, a fortune hunter who worked with Sam to find wealth concealed by the Magellan crew, tells Nate that Sam vanished after assisting him in stealing Juan Sebastian Elcano’s diaries. Nate, who has stopped receiving postcards from Sam, offers to assist Sully in finding him.
